... Who do girls like they're boys, Always should be someone you really love." Gosh, I have been rather remiss in updating this! That would suggest that nothing has been happening; but it would be quite a lie! Life has been terribly busy and overwhelmingly happy of late which in part has contributed to the lack of available on line time generally. But there is no time to reminisce here and now... ...its almost Whitby!!! ( The Official State Timetable as approved by the Ministry of Justice: )
Dear Universe You're doing it wrong; the hard stuff is mean to be hard and the easy stuff is meant to be easy! yours confusedly Prudence xXx
No matter how big the island, its still a cage if you cant swim.
...what was there?" I saw a canopy of stars last night, lights already dead burning in a black sky over fields of yellow flowers and drove towards the dawn to see the sunrise over the fake orange glow of a vast concrete city that never quite sleeps.
Thu, May. 14th, 2009, 07:59 pm Trust me...
I am now a certified first aider! I now hope I never have to use any of it. Although I also now fancy doing the advance pre hospital stuff as well. Its all so fascinating!
Dear Collective Sci Fi Gods I would like to make an addition to my previous order (which still remains outstanding!), I would now also like a young Mr Spock. I promise not to break him. Yours, boldly going Prudence xXx
Dear Whitby, I am bored now. I now care even less (if that is possible) about the spa and other events of that ilk. The dirty laundry is starting to smell. Whitby is not about the over priced tickets that allow you to queue in the cold for hours to see shite bands you can see anywhere else for a fiver whilst getting mugged for a cheap weak vodka that is served to you in a way that makes you feel like you should be grateful. I love wearing stupid big (and occasionally inappropriate) outfits but frankly I will wear them in the damn street if I have to. I love seeing all the people I love for which Len charges £3.10 (and a smile) for the price of a drinkie. I love being beside the damn sea side with a bloody big impromptu fire whilst I slowly talk more and more rubbish. I plan to be going in Halloween. Yours yawningly Prudence. xXx
Dear Cylon God, Please can you make Mr Hamster buy the rest of the BSG series (4 and 5) so that I might steal them. I do not want to buy them until they come out in a single set as they will not match other wise and that is just wrong, I am sure you understand. Oh and I am still waiting for a head space Dr G! I believe I ordered this some time ago. Yours devotionally Prudence xXx
Whitby: There was; Too much drinking; Not enough sleeping; Great people; Evil shambles food; Small select gatherings; Sunsets through the Whales bones; Flyering all of Whitby (Come to dv80s! 8th May!) dressed in too many neon colours; Hair that they fill airplane cavities with; Being an honorary groupie; Talking rubbish till way too late in the morning; Getting carried to bed by a wee John; Going 1 - nil up at half time; Getting to hold the Chunky Monkey; and Dancing till my feet hurt. Gods I am getting too old for this! I shall however watch the boards and rumour mills with interest and decide what I am doing about October. now for a shower, some food and a good nights sleep in my own damn bed!

Did you all enjoy your leap second? There was a Christmas, which was nice enough. There have been days that I have done nothing with, which has been a welcome respite. There has been company over new year, which has been pleasent. There could be more but its a touch late on to really write yet another This Is What My Family Did post. It was very much the way 2008 has been; some of it was good, some of it was not good, a touch of it was too dark, and there were a couple of moments of brightness. 2008 was always going to be a year of waiting, a year of 'lets see', a year of other people's choices. Welcome to 2009, its promises to be an interesting ride what ever way I sit!
"I don't wish to prejudge the girl, Jeeves, I am sure she has a heart of gold; its just she also has a tooth of one"
